Designer-Architect, NoDesign.net – Director of the Digital Design Workshop at L’ENSCI – Les Ateliers

Jean-Louis Frechin is a “DPLG” architect (French-registered) and graduate of the National Graduate school of Industrial Design. After a year working at the Information Research Institute in Lisbon, he cofounded an agency for global design, carrying out industrial and cultural projects. He then joined Montparnasse Multimédia as editor of digital works, designing and producing over fifteen cultural and educative CD ROMs. His work focuses on the importance given to human projects, its contents and a sense of meaning in its formatting, striving to create an undeniable connection between the content, design, interactivity and technology on themes linked to knowledge. Many of these books have received prizes (the collection Les Petits Débrouillards, La Terre merveilleuse, L’Histoire de l’Aviation, Le Louvre Collections et Palais). In 2001, he created NoDesign, the first digital design company. NoDesign is specialized in strategic brainstorming and creation of innovative products and services within the field of information technologies and communication. An implicit study searching for meanings and values, new usages, simplicity and emotion. Jean-Louis Frechin is a recognized expert in digital design, new challenges and design areas. NoDesign was awarded the Carte Blanche grant at VIA in 2008 – Interface(s): The Internet of Objects.
